• Get rid of your idea of "perfection"
    • If you continue to strive for perfection, you can never be happy. Just hope for the best and know that you are good enough as you are. There is no need to change yourself to be your ideal view of perfection.
  • Be humble
    • Don't let your ego get to you. "Work hard in silence; Let success make the noise." Be wise enough to know that you aren't better than everybody but know that you are unique and different from everyone else.
  • Be more optimistic
    • This is something I struggle on a lot, honestly. For me, it's like: When it rains, it pours. I'm actively trying to be more optimistic as possible and see the silver lining thing they all talk about. Don't have that "all-or-nothing" mentality where everything is either all good or all bad.
  • Do what makes you happy
    • Make your happiness one of your main priorities. Don't let others dictate what makes you happy. Be yourself and find your own happiness; Even if that means taking some me-time and having the day to be with yourself.
  • Accept that not everyone will like you
    • Know that there are different personalities out there. In life, you will realize that you'll come across a lot of people - some may like you, some may not. And that's OK. You don't need every single one to love you or like you. It's just the way things are, and you probably have some people you dislike too.
  • Count your blessings
    • In the morning, one of the first things you should do is to count your blessings. Count 5 things that you are grateful for. Trust me, it can make a difference in your day. Start your day with some positivity!
  • Stop comparing
    • Don't compare yourself with others. Everyone is unique and different in both personality and looks. You'll never truly be happy until you accept who you are - flaws and everything. Comparing yourself to others can lower your self-esteem; There is no reason to compare and change who you are.
  • Don't focus on materialistic objects
    • Sure, money does help. But it doesn't actually give you lasting happiness. It's just a momentary feeling. Focusing more on your own well-being and relaxation will help ground you.
  • Concentrate on things that you can control
    • Worrying about things isn't going to be much help. "Grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference."
  • Go easy on yourself
    • We are our own worst critic. Too much self-criticism can lower your self-esteem. Remember that everyone makes mistakes, and there's nothing wrong about that at all.
